The Portuguese mentor has hit out once again at his counterpart, stating that the outgoing Barca boss tries to emulate a perfect image.
Real Madrid head coach, Jose Mourinho, has taken another dig at Barcelona’s soon-to-be former manager, claiming that the tactician is attempting to sell an image of perfection.
Mourinho expressed that Guardiola tries his best to appear perfect in front of the media, when the case is actually otherwise.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan boss then went on to compare his accomplishments with the Blaugrana mentor, obviously claiming that winning the title in 4 different leagues in Europe is a much bigger feat than anything ever achieved by ‘La Masia’ graduate.
Although it does make sense that Mourinho would attempt to capture a little bit of attention amidst all the limelight that is over Guardiola, it is still unclear why he would want to compare what the two men have achieved over the years.
This is certainly not the first time that the Portuguese mentor has publicly criticized his Barcelona counterpart. The two men have often taken it upon themselves to knock down each other in the eyes of the media, with the Barca manager taking the latest
blow.
As Pep Guardiola prepares his departure from the Nou Camp, he has managed to attract attention from all over the world, a fact that the Madrid boss apparently dislikes.
Even though it made sense when the 49-year-old insisted that he achieved more than Pep, it simply appeares to be a case of sour grapes when he stressed that winning over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 means nothing as long as they win the league.
While talking to the press, the former Porto manager quoted:
"It is not normal to sell an image of perfection, because at the end of the day nobody is perfect. I have never sold an image of perfection. No coach has won a league title in the three major leagues [http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011]. It was an objective that I had.
It is an unbelievable achievement both professionally and on a personal level.”
"My target in life is not to beat Barca. I have also lost to Barca and to lose to them doesn't make me any sadder than to lose against Bayern.”
After claiming the Spanish La Liga title, Real Madrid are set to play their last game of the season against Mallorca.
