The Special One has revealed his desire to watch his players perform as well as they did last year, asserting that he is very ambitious in terms of results.
Real Madrid head coach, Jose Mourinho, wants his men to completely focus on their performance on the field in order to bring in better results for the currently reigning champions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011.
The veteran trainer acknowledged Los Blancos' slow start to the season, however, he also maintained that the Spanish giants have ample time at their hands to bounce back in La Liga.
Mourinho added that he is proud of his side’s performance in the Spanish Super Cup. Nevertheless, he stressed that Madrid need to show the same spirit in the Spanish Primera as their goal is to retain the title which took them a lot of hard work to secure.
Los Vikingos defeated their greatest foes, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, in the Supercopa de Espana recently. Although they lost the first leg of the two-legged final, the Whites managed to make a comeback in the second leg and consequently went on to lift the trophy.
While talking to reporters, the 49-year-old was quoted as saying:
"We have ambitions in terms of results and how well we play, and last year we were excellent in both areas. That's all I want this season."
"The only thing that concerns me is that we haven't yet played well in the league. We played one great game in the return leg of the Spanish Super Cup, the players were excellent, another game (the 1st leg) in which we played well and three games in the
league where I haven't liked what I saw, and that’s what I try to make the players understand.”
Real Madrid's start to this year’s La Liga campaign has been rather disappointing. After getting a stalemate in their first league match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863, Los Merengues were defeated in their second game of the season at the hands of Getafe.
However, the Spanish champions were able to secure their first victory of the season the following weekend, with Mourinho confident that his players have what it takes to perform brilliantly as they have already shown it last season.
