The Special One shared that Manchester City will be a difficult team to beat and that Real Madrid are wary in going up against them.
Jose Mourinho recently stated that with the ridiculous amounts of money that has been invested into Manchester city over the past few years, the club cannot be taken too lightly, and will prove to be difficult side to beat in the Champions League opening
match against Real Madrid.
With both teams having some of the best players in the world to call upon, both outfits will have to tread carefully when facing each other.
Mourinho stated that the Citizens are a force to be reckoned with because of the quality players that have joined the club in the past few years, and that they have possibly the most perfect line-up for the Champions League.
“Manchester City are powerful because they have players at the highest world level... The objective of the investment, made year after year, is to lift the European Cup. It will be tough. Tough for Real Madrid... and tough for them because Madrid is Madrid.”
Apart from just Manchester City, the Portuguese manager is also concerned about Borussia Dortmund, and Ajax Amsterdam.
With the champions of the most competitive leagues in his group, Real Madrid will have to work extremely hard in order to reach the quarter finals let alone the finals.
“We will need to be at our best form from the first minute and in every game through the group phase with the maximum of intensity, concentration, commitment and pressure.”
The Los Blancos coach refused to comment on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-c9622 Ronaldo’s ‘sadness’, however, Mourinho did state that he is not worried about cash-rich clubs enticing Madrid’s players away from the Santiago Bernabeu.
He stated that with the history that Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have, no respectful football player will leave. The trophies, the cups and the fans are not something that could be bought with money.
He stated that all the best players will want to be members of these three clubs, and that if given the opportunity, would choose Madrid, Barca or Bayern over the cash-rich clubs.
