Mouse question (the kind that scurry)?

I live in an apartment where I get an ocassional mouse. My neighbor never does. She says it because she has a cat and they can "smell" the cat so they don't come in her place. Anyone know if this is true?

I highly doubt this is true. Just because she doesn't she it does not mean it isn't there. My parents live in a rural area and they have a dog and a cat and still get the occasional field mouse.
