Mouse squeaking?

I got two female mice yesterday from the petstore. Anthrax lets me pick her up some, she's still not very trusting but she tollerates handling. But the other mouse, Cyanide squeeks everytime I touch her, is this just her way of telling me to leave her alone?

  1. yes. and be careful, tiny animals have tiny brains, and as a rule, remember: the smaller the brain, the sharper the teeth*

they can lash out quickly, and savagely.

  2. Yes, mice are very vocal when frightened. She just needs some time to adjust to her new surroundings. It's always best for any small animal you bring home to give them 24 to 48 hours to just relax from all the stress of being taken from one home and put into another, before attempting to handle them.

  3. You should ask the place or person you bought it from & see if it's normal or not?

  4. If it's a high pitched squeak yes, she's scared. Myabe just leave her alone in her cage for 48 hrs or so just to let her get used to her new surrounds and then slowly each day put your hand in the cage, not too near her and let her get acustomed to your smell and your hand and eventually she should let you pick her up cause she'll have realised you're not dangerous. Good luck.

  5. Lol. My mice always squeak when i touch them..

Nothing to be worried about. They are just very squeaky pets.

  6. yes if its a high pitched squek she is saying "get out of my face"
