Mouthwash and bugspray: the same thing?

So during a marching band practice everyone was asking each other if they needed bug spray and this one kid was like "You know, bug spray and mouthwash are basically the same thing. So if you ever run out of

bug spray you can just use mouthwash." I, personally, don't believe this

but I was just really curious. It's got my head scratching :)

uh, no. Bug spray has DEET in it...which is essentially a poison. If you drank bug spray you would be very sick....I dont see how mouth wash would protect against bugs...unless its the mint or something
