Question:

Move to England from Thailand?

I will move to England by soon and I worry a lot about culture shock, actually I know some of english ppl, and I used to live in US for a while, my friend said I will not have problem but I still worried, also living expense that higher and higher every day...

do you think what I really need to know or prepare before I move?...

  1. I made the move in the other direction - from English to Thailand. The more people you know, the better, although there's nothing like just getting out and exploring when you get there. There are some websites in the UK for the Thai community - try googling and you should find them.

    Are you going to study or for work? If study then contact The British Council in Bangkok for help and advice. For work you can try The British Embassy - they might be able to offer some advice.

    As for costs - yes, English is an expensive place by Thai standards. It will take time to stop thinking "that only costs x*x baht back in Thailand".
