  1. i'll swap with you, u can live here and i'll live there! i know someone who moved from the usa to here for studies, they badly wanted to go back home... if you know someone in the uk then ask them about it before you come. if its college you want when you come here, i think thats very hard to get into, your best off doing your college studies there and then coming here for uni.

  2. Information on student visas: http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply/...

Information on applying to University here: http://www.ucas.com/students/startapplic...

Information on studying in the UK: http://www.ucas.com/students/nonukstuden...

Beware that there IS a different culture over here, and things may seem strange at first (for example, bumming a f*g means begging a cigarette off someone rather than something less savoury) but you will get used to it.

    Good luck!

  3. coming as a student isn't hard as long as you've got good enough grades to get a university or college place ... I don't know how you plan to support yourself, will you get a grant, or will your parents support you? ... as a student I think you're allowed to work a small number of hours a week to supplement your income, but it certainly wouldn't be enough to be self-sufficient

once you've got the confirmed university or college place, you can apply to your local British Embassy for a student visa ... for as long as your studies (and your visa) continue you can stay in the country ... once your studies or your visa are over you would have to leave the country ... if you then wanted to come back to work I think you then have to apply for a work permit (which you can only do from outside the country) in order to come back ... I am not sure how long you have to have been in the country on work permit before you could apply for citizenship but I think it's 8 years

  4. Different culture. You won't know what that means till you leave the USA

  5. omg yes . unless you have reletives  or your mother is a british citizen . i really wanna move there as well . if i were you i would wait until you get out of college then it might be easier . try going junoir year aboard there if you have good grades . thats my plan you get to stay with a british family for an entire semester
