If I was to move to another state for work, and just live in, say an apartment, but my permanent address is still in the original state, would I have to get different license plates and driver's license? etc. or what?

  1. most states generally give you 90 days

but I think it would be rather hard to prove in a court of law

if you say "im just visiting"

but if a cop gives you 2 tickets over 2 years........

I doubt you'll get into any kind of trouble over it, and you can prolly pull it off, its just the books say 90 days your a resident and have to have your car registered
