Move to california?

Question

we live in maryland, we have lived in MD for 7 years, since we moved from Sri Lanka.

Recently my parents have been talking about moving to California for education, to go to UCLA. im going to 9th grade.

do you think that is a good idea?

like im having a hard time with leaving my friends

i was planning on going to richard montgomery high school - #1 school in MD

give me the pros and cons of moving

I was born a and raised in cali!! and i gotta say it really depends on wat part of cali your coming to I lice in the high desert and the high schools are terrible, honestly they have metal detectors, knife stabbings, and etc. but i have never been to other parts of cali really well not their school.  But for my high school i am attending an ONLINE high school called Insight school of Los angles if your for sure goin to move check it out.. hope i helped email me if you have other ??'s [e-mail]

Pros: California is an awesome place, climate, and a lot of places to go to.. (beaches, hollywood, amusement parks, etc), and there are hundreds of colleges in California (if you didn't get accepted to UCLA)

Cons: You might not be accepted to UCLA ( selective school), cost of moving, and high living costs.

There are good schools in Maryland.. ( University of Maryland- College Park, Johns Hopkins, Townson University, McDaniel College, Frostburg State University, Loyola College in Maryland, etc) and you also can go to colleges in DC.. DC is not far from Maryland..
