Hi,

I recently moved into a new apartment where an old door has been blocked up with plasterboard. You can see that the blocked up door isn't completely level with the surrounding wall in the living room. In the bedroom, the decision was made to take the wall out about 2 inches as seen in the pictures lined to. The only reason this was done as far as I can see is to cover up small holes in the old floor where the Sill extend out - again this hole can be seen in the pictures. I'd don't understand why this hole wasn't simple filed in.

What I'd like to do is redo the blocking up of the door again, without the wall jotting out as it currently does. Can you see any reason why I mightn't be able to do this?

Any advice regard the electricity cable running across the bedroom wall? I'd like it to be hidden.

What other advice can you offer me?

Thanks for your help,

Barry.

  1. Tell the landlord to fix it. If you do it, you are stuck for the repairs. It's the landlords responsibility.
