Moved itunes and now music is gone?

I moved my itunes from my "c" drive to my "d" drive. easy i thought but i now realize that my music has disappeared and i dont know how to get it back. I dont want to plug my ipod in because i have heard you will lose all your music. is this right? any ideas on how to put my playlist back onto my itunes. i still have a playlist saved but i dont know why i cant get it imported back onto itunes. any help would be appreciated. i not very smart about computers so please explain it in 1st grade english. thank you

  1. You need to re-import the folder that your music in, on my PC it is in a folder simply called "iTunes" that the program made to put my purchases in.  To import a folder you hit File<Import a Folder, then you would hit my computer<C://<Your User Name if multiple accounts on machine<my music<iTunes<iTunes Music.  The music is lost because moving your iTunes program makes iTunes places to look for importing music forget it's previous locations. Sorry, I am not sure how to get playlist back other than re-put the music in the playlist.


  2. Have you tried to consolidate music under advanced tab in I tunes . Also you may want to try and do a system restore under system tools on the pc to a previous date
