  1. When George Strait is singing "I Cross My Heart" at the end of Pure Country. Even my husband got misty eyed from it.

  2. If you want sad, try "Life Is Beautiful". Don't be scared off by the subtitles, because it's soooo GOOD. I was sobbing by the ending.

  3. The end of The Notebook.

  4. I agree with Angelic, When I saw the end of The Notebook, I was sobbing. I wish that I could just once in my life have the kind of love that the two of them shared.

  5. Many moments made me cry during "The Notebook." Most specifically, however, is the following conversation which takes place in the rain:

Allie: Why didn't you write me? Why?! It wasn't over for me, I waited for you for seven years! But now it's too late.

Noah: I wrote you 365 letters. I wrote you everyday for a year!

    Allie: You wrote me?!

    Noah: Yes . . . it wasn't over . . . IT STILL ISN'T OVER!!

(He grabs her and kisses her passionately)

This makes many people (including me) remember that one lost love that we never got back . . .

  6. Steel Magnolias...at the gravesite.   My sister had seen the movie before and started crying even before that scene...we all looked at her like she was nuts, but then we were all bawling!!

  7. After about the first 15 minutes of P.S. I Love You, then off and on until the end.

  8. Schindler's List.  OMG.  When the little boy hid in the latrine.  From that point on.

  9. In "A Walk to Remember", when Landon goes to his dad's house to thank him for sending Jamie home from the hospital..and he starts crying- I break down.

  10. When Old Yeller contracted rabies and had to be put down

  11. WHEN SKIP DIED IN-MY DOG SKIP

  12. Two different cries in two different kinds of movies.

The Joy Luck Club (actually 2 scenes in this movie):  when washing dishes with her mother after the dinner in which her mother appears to side with her life long rival/best friend, Waverly, but later over her daughters tears at being a disappointment to her mother, the mother explains:  "That bad crab, only you tried to take it. Everybody else want best quality. You, your thinking different. Waverly took best-quality crab. You took worst, because you have best-quality heart. You have style no one can teach. Must be born this way."  and at the end, when she meets her sisters and gives them a swan feather from the mother they were hoping to meet, but learn instead that she is dead.  (I always highly recommend this movie.  Please watch it, funny, heart-wrenching, and uplifting.)

The second movie is Seven. If anyone doubts that Brad Pitt can act, please try to keep a dry eye while watching the torment on his face when he discovers what is in the box at the end of the movie.
