  1. Lately there are more and more movies showing male genitals like s*x and the City, Step Brothers and I believe Forgetting Sarah Marshall and let's not forget Boogie Nights. I think it's more acceptable by society to show a woman's body over a man's. I mean look at the history of art. Go into any art museum and you will find portraits of naked women.

  2. because most movies are directed by STRAIGHT men

  3. Guys direct the films...and nudity is dumb anyways, and I agree, if it's necessary to show a girl than it's necessary to show a guy.  Whatever.

  4. Your definition of "v****a" must be very different from mine, or else we're watching completely different movies.

This inequality in nudity has been discussed at length on dedicated board boards. It is a business decision--made by men, who control the industry.

Guys 18 to 35 make up the largest percentage of both ticket sales and DVD purchases, and they like naked women. Go figure, huh? In addition, they're squicked out by naked men, so that's a negative except in a film guys wouldn't be seeing anyway. Hence the L-shaped sheets that show all of a woman but only the guy's bare chest.

  5. There are a lot of good points being made here. Women are OK seeing naked women, while men are definitely not OK seeing naked men.

Women also just don't have anywhere near the same interest in seeing "members" of the opposite s*x nude as men do. The recent demise of Playgirl magazine bears this out, not to mention the preponderance of "mens" magazine and the multi-billion dollar p**n industry.

All things being equal, a film with female nudity will always benefit a film's sales and rentals.

  6. Because most of the movies are directed by men

  7. It may go back to art and the renissance, etc.

This is kinda stupid, but I remember from an episode of Punk'd, Ashton said something like "Naked women are s**y and naked guys are hilarous"
