  1. There is lots of advice that you can freely obtain on the net. You just have to do a little searching. There are screen writing groups that might be willing to be of help to you as well.

I am in the process of working on scripts and have one about ready to submit. I know from first hand experience that even though you might have a really good idea...you must present it in the best and highest professional form in order to get the attention of a major producer, agent or production studio. Remember your script is one among of about twenty thousand plus that are submitted each year. Again, a screen writing critique group is of help. Or, if you're certain that you're idea is great and unique, you might hire the services of one of the script coaches that are offered on the web. I suggest you check out "Scriptcoach" David Kohner Zuckerman for analysis and help. He also offers an on line "pitch" system which, for a fee, gives you an opportunity to do so via his web site directly to the participating companies, managers and agents. Most of the really big companies will only respond to a query via an agent or agency that ascribes to the Writer's Guild of America guidelines. That's a tremendous leap for any beginning writer, but it can be done...just not often. You usually have to work your way up to be noticed and accepted at that level usually through winning a screenplay competition or getting a script produced at a lower, independent level.

Best of luck to you. I hope you are successful.

  2. find a money man and convince him for as a producer.

  3. It is very difficult. The most important is to focus on your content, that is to really put a great deal of effort into writing the best scripts you possibly can, because then, when you get screened, you know you stand well prepared. If you have good content, then the pro's will listen at some point, they are constantly looking for good content. The best way is to work steady and patiently evolving, constantly producing new material, getting it produced first in small independent productions, getting them into the underground  festival network, make personal connections always remembering to bring you press kit in your bag, so that you can hand it over instantly when you meet people. The big guys usually do not read material send to them out of the blue, without first having made contact, so you need to get into the network, and get your work exposed. Also remember to deposit your copyrights, before you send out your material. A good book on how to work in any creative field is George Leonard's "Mastery", its not specifically about how to make it in your field, but about how to develop good working habits. Good luck!
