Movie title question?

i cant remember what the movie title was, but i do remember a little about the movie. it is a sci-fi movie, it was about someone who sent out radio frequencies to outer space, after a some time they got answers from outer space, which contained construction plans for a device that would create a wormhole. if someone can recognize this description of the movie please let me know... thanxx
