Question:

Movies on the innate goodness of mankind?

I'm working on a theory for my Social Sciences class, and need several movies that prove that man is innately good. I'd really appreciate it if anyone could name at least one (I need 3 though), that showed some sort of intense struggle for goodness despite the odds, that mankind is evil because of the outside influences, or that men are able to sacrifice themselves for others selflessly...anything that proves the point.

Thanks in advance, everyone.

  2. In my opinion, man is innately bad, but I don't control your thoughts. So, the answer: Children of Men

In the case that you haven't seen it, its a movie that takes place in the future, whereas women have lost the ability to give birth. Throughout the movie, you see how the world has been effected, and seemingly only Britain has been able to stay in decent shape. So, this movie takes place in Britain. It centers around a man, who is contacted by some rogue friends of his. They have a mission for him: get a pregnant girl out of Britain. When he meets this young lady, he endeavors to do everything he can to get her out. Long story short (spoiler to any who havent' seen it) they go through the h***s of Britain's defenses to get to the sea. They make it, and he admits it, "We made it." But then, the girl looks down in the boat, and says, "Oh my goodness, I've bled all over the boat. Sorry--" "--No. Its me." He got hit by a stray bullet.

       The rescue ship arrives.
