  1. it depends. what kind of movies do you like????

some tv channels, like vh1 or mtv, have best *insert movie genre here* movie shows, like best comedies, or best action adventures. you can probably find a list of the best movies by searching them online.

also, even if you dont have an account, you can browse the selections they have on netflix by genre, depending on what you feel like watching at the time.

INVENTING THE ABBOTTS: Set in the 1950s, Inventing the Abbotts is a dramatic look at the life of two boys from the wrong side of the tracks and their interaction with the three daughters of local aristocrat Lloyd Abbott. The boys, Jacey and Doug have only 3 things in common: their family, table tennis and chasing the Abbott sisters.

TRISTAN AND ISOLADE: An affair between the second in line to Britain's throne (Franco) and the princess of the feuding Irish (Myles) spells doom for the young lovers. Stars James Franco, Sophia Myles, Rufus Sewell and David O’Hara.

SOMMERSBY: Set in the south of the United States just after the Civil War, Laurel Sommersby is just managing to work the farm without her husband Jack, believed killed in the Civil War. By all accounts, Jack Sommersby was not a pleasant man, thus when he returns, Laurel has mixed emotions. It appears that Jack has changed a great deal, leading some people to believe that this is not actually Jack but an imposter.

VANITY FAIR: The British Empire flowers; exotic India colors English imaginations. Becky Sharp, the orphaned daughter of a painter and a singer, leaves a home for girls to be a governess, armed with pluck, a keen wit, good looks, fluent French, and an eye for social advancement. Society tries its best to keep her from climbing. An episodic narrative follows her for 20 years, through marriage, Napoleonic wars, a child, loyalty to a school friend, the vicissitudes of the family whose daughters she instructed, and attention from a bored marquess who collected her father's paintings. Honesty tempers her schemes. No aristocrat she, nor bourgeois, just spirited, intelligent, and irrepressible.

THE ILLUSIONIST: In turn-of-the-century Vienna, a magician uses his abilities to secure the love of a woman far above his social standing.

THE ITALIAN JOB: Based on a 1969 Michael Caine film of the same name, thieves plan to pull of the heist of their lives by creating Los Angeles largest traffic jam ever.
