Moving BIG & EXTREMLY HEAVY furniture?

Question

Okay I'm bit in a pickle.

I want to change my room flooring.

I want to take off the carpet & put tile in my room, the thing is moving my furniture. I have a bedroom set that is very very heavy. My bed was build in my room about 6 yrs and I've never ever moved it.

What would be an easy way to temporaly move my bed or lift it to that I can change my floor?

The e-z gliders or sliders are the way to go!  They make moving furniture so much easier.  They're available at discount stores and dollar stores.

Wal-Mart sales sliders that you can put under heavy furniture to move it. It sounds like you'll have to tile part of the room and then move the furniture over onto the already tiled part and then put the rest of the tile down if it's not feasible to move all the furniture out at once. Have some friends over that day for a "moving" party.

there are these little plastic disk like things that you place under the legs of the furniture and it helps slide the furniture around...

Use an iron bar to insert the button foot of the furniture,

you had better to call a guy to lift one corner of the furniture.. then insert the bar,,

go to your local hardware store and get some ez glides, them come in a package of different sizes for many things. I have them under everything and can move the furniture by myself without any trouble....good luck

Get the sliders...and some strong guys at your party....and no girls....this no fun time.
