Moving On likely to win Mask Pavillion Opportunity Handicap Hurdle
Moving On is tipped to prevail in the Mask Pavillion Opportunity Handicap Hurdle (Div I) at Ballinrobe in Ireland on Tuesday, June 26, 2012. A cash prize of €3,850 has been set for the winner of the 2 mile 4 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 20:25
GMT.
Although most of the runners are struggling for form, there have been some good performances given by Moving On in recent times. He is a seasoned runner and has got a lot of experience in races over hurdles.
Overall, the 10-year-old gelding has entered 88 events and 80 of them have been over hurdles. However, his strike rate is on the lower side, as he has only managed to win twice in his career. In addition to that, he has secured the runner up position on
eight times whereas finished third on seven occasions.
These statistics are enough to prove that the P. M. Lynch’s trainee has got the ability to fight at the front. He has been doing a decent job over the past few events, as he finished amongst the top five in his previous four races.
Moving On was unable to meet the expectations of the bookies in his most recent race, as he finished fourth, despite being rated as the joint favourite to win. He made an impressive start back then and went into lead pretty early.
However, the race distance to cover in the race was over two miles, thus it was difficult for him to hold onto the lead. He started losing momentum towards the end of the event and had to settle outside the top three.
The favourite runner is required to be at his absolute best in order to prevail in the Mask Pavillion Opportunity Handicap Hurdle. He will be ridden by A. P. Heskin, who does not have a lot of experience and needs to prove his worth to the punters.
On the other hand, the bookies have given the best odds to Tom´s Last Euro, despite the fact that he has never managed to win any race in his career. He has entered six hurdles, winning none of them. However, he is believed to challenge Moving On for victory
today.
