  1. I would stay at home as long as you can. The cost of living is outrageous. Unless you have a job that pays pretty good or you plan on living with roommates I would stay home.

  2. Why? Stay at home for a few more years and save money.......then buy a house!

  3. I've been looking into it aswel and I'm also 17.

I rang up various suppliers of places to find out prices such as wessex water and southern gas/electric  thats your best bet and you can give them an idea

Bt charge £10.50? i think (not over £11) a month for line rental then theres extra costs if you want internet. TV license is about £11 or £12 a month however if you just have a tv that you ONLY use for dvds and it's not wired up to recieve television signals you can contact tv liscencing and they'll come round to confirm it and you don't have to pay.

Council tax works in bands which vary from property and location look them on your local council website.

If like me and moving out as a care leaver, Social services have to help support you until the age of 18 if you are, longer if your in full time education.

However, make sure you know every single cost, simple things like your mobile phone, contract or credit costs, food, toiletriesm home insurance, furnishing of the place your looking at, does it have a fridge or freezer, microwave or washing machine?

There are LOADS of hidden costs to look out for.

    Good luck

  4. I would stay at home as long as I could, but if you absolutely have to move out, I would try to find an apartment where all the utilies are included...  it's much easier that way!

  5. I have a three bedroom house, with just me and my wife living their.

    Per month

    Gas - 110

    Water - 80

    Electric - 35

    Council tax - 90

    Life insurance - 25

    Food - 200

There are  a few others, but cant think of them all at the mo.  Have not lived in a flat before, but hope this helps...
