  1. It varies by state.Probably 17 or 18.  If you are under that age, your parents can send the police after you. Why not talk to a school guidance counselor? Whatever you do, don't quit school!

  2. I am not sure if there are any "laws" or regulations regarding this, however I do encourage you to find out just how much responsibility and expense is involved in moving out on your own. I don't know what your reason is for feeling this way but I do suggest you really think things out. You didn't mention your gender, who you'd be living with if you left your parents' home. Depending on those circumstances, there could be problems with the law. That's really all I have to offer without knowing more.

  3. It depend what state or province your in..here in canada if your 17 ..you are a Adult and you can move out and live on your own. You mom or dad can try to bring you back but the police will say he is now adult and we can't do anything..now at age 16 ..don't know..call the police and find out what they age limit is before moving out..

  4. Move out, then deal with it later.  You are right, your parents are wrong, is that what you want to hear from this site??

Chances are, it's the opposite, since you are asking legal help.  No chance, state laws say your parents are responsible for you, so either suck it up or get a job that supports rent in this rough economy.

Either way you lose since you have to live the rest of your life without even a high school diploma or stay with your folks (at least you have a room) for a while until you graduate.

  5. If you are an Indian, you cannot move out or leave the house, without the knowledge of your parents. For this your have to wait for another two years, to attain 18 years. For marriage, boy shall be 21 years old.

Other things, you should be capable of maintaining your self, i.e., you shall be employed, earning to become independent. When you become independent, you have to face all the consequences alone. Nobody cares and comes to your rescue. Nobody will be there to llisten to your problems, etc., etc.,

So, if you are facing some problems at home, please bring some well wishers in and around your family, see that the problems are solved for some time i.e., till you become major and capable of living alone independently.

  6. No, you cannot. They can call the police and report you as a runaway.
