  1. You don't necessarily have to be under the age of 40 in order to move to OZ, my Aunt and Uncle emigrated from the UK when they were in their 60's, this was because we have family there I think.

Have a look at this site for correct info on emigration  http://www.immi.gov.au/

Have your parents actually considered this idea or is it something you came up with and want to try to convince them?  Also how old are you?  Maybe aim for a holiday over there to start with, maybe even a working holiday; think you might get further with that idea than moving altogether, and opens up the possibility of emigration!

  2. your parents are too old for the skilled worker immigration visa

they would have to try a different way and it will be extremely hard to get

  3. why don't you try canada or the states? well if you're keen on going, talk to your folks and start looking up websites run by the Aussie government, which will give you all the necessary information to apply.

  4. u should go byur self mate aslong as ur over 18 and have a skill on the sol list u shudnt have a problem beeing young and british,

im in the same predicument as you fella but i mooving out by my self i lernt a whole new trade just to be able to immigrate there i attended various expos ( contact me if u need the links ) and have been in contact with the department of immigration.

im comming out in october to do my work exp for 2 years using the working holls visa it might be worth trying to go for a year or 2 first u might not even like it.

    good luck matey

  5. dont its nearly summer lol

  6. If you want to go to live in Australia, I suggest you don't go anywhere too extreme. AKA: Don't live in Cairns, Hobart or Western Australia. You want something temperate. Central New South Wales or parts of Victoria are good. If your parents have more 'urban'-style jobs, then I suggest an inland city like Wagga or Bendigo. Sydney is too difficult to get by in, so inland (out in the bush) is the way to go.

Tell you what, you sound a lot like a character in an Aussie book. See if you can find "Misery Guts" by Morris Gleitzman. It's a good read. It's about an English boy who tries to get his parents to move to Australia. :)

    Good luck mate

  7. I'm sorry but unfortunately your parents would not be eligible, you have to be under 40 and have a skill on the immigration department's list to immigrate to Australia.

Summer's on its way for you, hope you feel better.
