  1. Whatever you do, do NOT transport it laying down no matter what anyone says.  A plasma screen is made of glass and is only supported by its edges.  If you hit a big enough bump the screen will break under its own weight and you will have a very expensive piece of junk.  Transport it upright and protect the screen.

  2. just get some foam and a big carboard box and seal it as it was when you bought it.

  3. The best way to move the TV is in the original box that it came in.

If you put this in the removalist truck make sure you get it covered with some form of insurance in case they damage it.

You are better off using the removalist with insurance as a Plasma that size will be heavy and awkward.

    NOTE :

NEVER LAY A PLASMA DOWN , NO MATTER WHAT YOU ARE TOLD -  NEVER , EVER !!!

ALWAYS STAND TV UPRIGHT , ALWAYS !!!

  4. if you no longer have the original packaging, I would really try to find a box that it will fit in, and make sure it is packed well...

if that is not an option, ensure that you wrap it good with moving blankets, or just regular blankets if you do not have the padded moving blankets (you can rent from u-haul, or storage places)

I would get someone to give me a hand moving it, and bring it in the car, not the moving truck...

I would try to transport it upright, if you have the legs for it, if not I would transport it screen side up, and ensure you do not have anything that would fall onto the screen...

if you would prefer to have it moved in the moving truck, be sure to get the insurance from the moving company, and use a known reputable company...
