We are moving soon, July 26th to be exact, but I will be gone from the 11th-19th so we really only have about a week to pack. Its just me and my roommate moving, we currently rent half of a house (our half is 3 bedroom one bath, we need to move all the furniture from the 3 bedrooms, a couple boxes worth from the bathroom, most of the kitchen(2 major appliences) and part of the living room .. some of the furnature belongs to my landlord).. We are moving 3 blocks away (I know, far move) to a 4 bedroom, 3 bath house. What is the best way to pack and move? I don't feel it neccessary to overwrap and box things since its such a short distance. Also, we do not have a vehicle or know anyone who does closer than 2 hours away, and neither of us are old enough to rent a uhaul or moving van. We can have a couple friends come from 2 hours away to help us but all they have is a small pickup, trailer, and jeep. Would it be better to have them both drive w/ the trailer or just one car

  1. I have moved in the same time several times and mainly used my own car for the small stuff, I didn't use that many boxes even though I had gobs of stuff. I would bring the books, and other things over and unload them quickly and take the boxes back and refill them. I would use washcloths and other linens to pack between the dishes, so as not to use newspapers and have to wash them after unpacking. Get up early in the morning and get started and you will be doing good to have it done by night
