  1. Unless you have your driver's license by the time you move here you will have to redo the permit test. In Puerto Rico to get your "licensia transisional",  you must take a written test (basic driving knowledge and rules of the road) and get a doctor's certificate stating that you and your eyes are in good condition for driving. The test is offered in both English and Spanish. If when you arrive you have your license you will only have to take the written test and your license will be exchanged for a Puerto Rican license.

Yes there are a lot of driving schools (escuela de aprendizaje de conducir) here; you should should have no problem finding a company with a private driving instructor! GOOOOOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING! If you have any more questions just let us know!! :)

  2. You can exchange  the  driver's permit  and  yes  there's  many driving  scholls in Puerto Rico.

when You get there You look them up in the Yellow Book.
