  1. You should take a look at my blog devoted just to brown and blue home decor. I have found a ton of bedding, rugs, curtains, picture frames, etc, all in just brown and blue, in a range of prices. There's a lot of blue with brown polka dots too. Just go through the site, and click on the price and it will bring you to the store where you can buy it.  Good luck!

  3. brown and blue is a cute color scheme but i would suggest to have polka dots on your bedspread and not your walls. I personally think that polka dots are strange on walls. I would also suggest to have more blue than brown and just have hints of brown everywhere. Another thing you should do is to find lots of catalogues and flip through them for ideas. Pottery Barn Teen has lots of cute things and i would definitely suggest to look through it because there is always really cute stuff in there. I hope i helped a little even though i am not an expert. My only concern would be the furniture because blue furniture is pretty hard to find and brown would be too much brown. But that is just my opinion. if worst come to worst, i would suggest blue and white because you can find a lot of cute things in that color scheme. Especially white furniture.

  4. I love the blue and brown color combo.  I would go with espresso furniture.  And if you want  the polka dots try carrying the circle theme through out with round mirrors, round hardware on your furniture.  Have you visited HGTV website or looked through any decorating mags to get ideas, that really works best.  What kind of budget are you working with. and what is your room layout like be (meaning where are the walls is it a pretty mush square or are there angles or l shaped room).  What is your bedsize?  Are there anythings that you already own that you know will transfer over into this room?

  5. You are off to a good start. Now make lists of what you like and what you would like. Then make a scale model of your new room [especially where the windows and doors are] then start to put your scale sized furniture and other bits and pieces in the model. Keep moving things around until you are happy with the layout and leave it that way for a couple of days and see if you still like it. If you do--go a head. If you don't feel that confident you could check out web sites, magazines or the library or make it a game with your girlfriends. See who can come up with the best designs. Have fun and good luck.
