Moving back to canada, with my son....??

from austria. I bought a one way ticket back...my husband has given me full custody..and i am just wondering if he signs a paper saying that he has given me full custody and its ok that his son comes back with me..(because our son has a german passport) will it be ok when i go through customs?

  1. If he has a visa/passport then i don't think they will ask anything more. For all they know you are just taking baby on holiday. Where are you and baby citizens? If citizens of Canada then definitely should be no problem. If he is a German citizen then honestly I don't know. Having a German passport i guess you mean baby is German. That makes is much more difficult and you might need to get court papers and visa from Canada. I don't know how to make baby a citizen of Canada so taking him there might make problems in the future...Definitely go to the Canadian Consulate the will have answers.


  2. Yes it shouldn't be any problem just show them the paper and your son's passport. If they ask anything just tell them the reason he has a different passport.

    I hope that you have applied for his residency card.....that is unless he was born in Canada and you have documentation to prove it.
