Moving for the first time from St. Thomas to Kingston any tips?

St thomas is not far from kingston, i am sure u have been to town.  Its no biggie.

Get to know around your area before making a final move. Know all the routes to and from there and try to meet a few people in the community. Make sure you have all amenities in place before moving in although these never take long to install in the corporate area.

By the way, are you moving to Kingston, Jamaica from St. Thomas Jamaica or the Virgin Islands? My answer assumed u were Jamaican.

Find friends or family who can guide you as far as being safe within the community that you are living in.

Know your neighbours. You don't have to know them very well on a personal level, but at least get subtle tips and cues from the people who you see living around you. Since Kingston is such a HUGE place with many different types of communities, your closest neighbours are perhaps the best source of relevant information.
