Question:

Moving from Aussie To NZ - Shipping Over Pirate Dvds?

I have recently moved from Aussie to NZ and I am wanting to ship my dvds back with all my stuff. I want to know how Aussie or NZ customs will deal with this and will they go through ALL my stuff. I have probably 250 dvds (not all pirate) and none are multiple copies. Am I going to have a problem?

  1. 250 would be considered as "of commercial quantity" even if they are all different

The trick is to pack them without the obvious pirated packaging cases. Get the DVDs out of the cases. Buy a few spindle of CD-Rs, empty out the CD-Rs and stack your DVDs on, on top of each other. Put an empty CD-R on top of each pile and they'd never check.

This always saves you weight the volume when you're shipping things.
