I have a friend that lives in Europe and wants to move over to the U.S to work and then move back. What are the requirements for him to do this? Will he need a passport and how will he be able to get one? And he wants to find a guaranteed job before he moves here also. How would he go about finding one without being in the states? And if you know alot about this topic please send other information im leaving out because i dont know anything!!

  1. There are only 2 ways a foreign citizen can legally work in the U.S.  one is to apply to immigrate.  There are million so f people who want to immigrate to the U.S.  Each year 50,000 are allowed to do that...slim chance. The process takes several years and is very difficult.  The other way for foreign citizen to work in the U.S. is to have a much needed job skill and find an employer who will give them a contract for a specific job for a specific time.  This employer then sponsors the work visa.  In other words,it is nearly impossible for a foreign citizen to work in the U.S.  The same thing applies to Americans wanting to work in Europe.  You can read about visas at the sites below.
