I am moving to Denver and I am curious if I need snow tires. I have friends that live in Vail, and Winter Park and want to know if I need snow tires or what kind to get. I will be spending a lot of time back and forth between the two. Please share your knowledge....

  1. I would have to say yes. I just attempted a move to Denver an am getting out due to the extreem weather. I arrived last Saturday to 9 degrees and heavy snow which continued through Tuesday. Now another storm is here, it's 13 degrees and it's snowing again. locals tell me that this should be a really terrible winter and that snow could be measured in feet. If you do relocate be sure to get traction tires and chains which are often required when heading up to the high country west of Denver. Good luck and trust me, consider staying in Orlando until spring which would allow for a much easier transition.

  2. I would think some good all season tires would work fine, but being up in the mnts snow tires might be the way to go.
