What is Elizabeth bay like? I will be looking to rent from 1st of sep, I have been allot of places in sydney when I went in March but I don't think I went there. I liked Balmain,Glebe, and Broadway. Elizabeth bay seems abit cheaper to rent there than the places I just mentioned, I would like your views on the place, wpuld I need a car etc. I heve been offerd a job in broadway so I want to be somewere fairly close.

  1. Jon - all those places are pretty posh, so I hope you have a big wallet. Even share housing in those areas can be expensive. Sorry, I don't know Elizabeth Bay myself. Broadway is very central, but you could live further out as long as you are near a train or bus stop.

This is the Sydney public transport website, wihch tells you what is available.

Some Australian real estate sites you can check out are

    domain.com.au

    and

  2. Sydney is a very expensive place to live.  It also is a rat race of a place

  3. Oh i bet everyone is going to have a different accent then u my name is Sydney that is so cool

  4. Sydney is not a rat race place to live!

i love it and I moved from london when i was 8 to come to Syd.

the places you've chosen all sound pretty good, If you want to work in broadway than i'd suggest that you choose somewhere there. Sydney has pretty good public transport, so unless you really want a car than it wouldn't be necessary

  5. Elizabeth bay is nice and cheaper, simply because its not as glitzy as the rest
