  1. yes, very simple.

I live in Australia but when my dad had to go to Stockholm for a week, he needed a transformer for a few personal items and he picked one up from the same place he brought his baggage.

But do shop around, transformers can be expensive! Look at luggage shops, travel shops and maybe even Target, K Mart and maybe even your Wall mart.

good luck and enjoy this wonderful country of ours......

but dont rely on the transformer forever...they do last a while, but after you get back onto your feet after moving and get settled in a bit, then go out and buy new products for your hairdrier, gaming consoles ect.....and sell your US products on ebay as they are worth nothing in Aus.

  2. Hey mate, learn to spell Australia before you move there.  Then put another shrimp on the barbie.

  3. Better idea.

Sell your bulky items locally before you leave.

Have a garage sale before you go and buy new when you arrive.

Save the cost of transport. Large items like refrigerators cost more to transport than there worth.

Costs nothing to transport a pocket full of cash, and saves the cost of transformers.

  4. go to Radio shack or another reliable electronics store and ask for the converter kit for australian electrical outlets.

SEARS should carry them...they carry the ones for European countries.
