Moving from one state to another...?

I'm moving from mass to tn...i was planning on driving there but i cant seem to keep my license for more than a week. so now i will b flying. what would be the best way to get large expensive oil paintings, Cd's, dvds, loads of shoes, two tvs, and other things down there?

  1. USPS, find your own boxes.  


  2. I would check into a moving company. They often look for small loads to fill out their trucks moving from one area of US to another. There are many alternatives for shipping, not only UPS, FED-EX, etc, but even the USPS will ship boxes and the cheapest way to do that is to use flat rate boxes, because it doesn't matter how heavy or how far, it is one charge for everything you can stuff inside. You might check into freight trains, they will often ship for a cheap rate. Do a little exploration and you might fine a variety of choices.

  3. the next door guy just moved recently from another state, and I noticed three mobile storage units were left at the curb in front of the building, I don't recall the service name but they are wooden crates wrapped with a blue tarp.....something like this: http://www.pspickup.com/
