is there any way to convert a video, or a flash file into a silent moving image for free without having to buy expensive software?

and then capture it without sound.

1:download and run Camtasia

2:play movie and turn the volume off.

3:capture it on desire format.\/

Yes, use an online media converter. I haven't tested it out completely, but I've been able to convert WMV and AVI videos to animated GIFs for my forum sigs. The best part is there isn't anything to download but the finished product.

Animated GIFs are the silent moving images you want.
