Moving in with roommate?

Question

I'll be starting college in Sept and will be moving into the college dorm for the 1st time. I'm excited, but one thing concerns me, is that I've been sleeping naked since I was a teenager. I like the freedom of letting my boys hang free. How do I know if that will offend my future roommate? Any idea guys as I know not everyone sleep fully naked. Thanks a lot.

college is a time of compromises and first experiences, if you just sleep naked and act like everyone does then it's no big deal, just do it

I was in the same boat you are in but it was the Army and not college. Rather than chicken out like me, talk to him and tell him about. But tell him you will respect his space and always put on boxers before jumping out of bed. If he says that it is not a problem and do what you want, then do what you want and act natural.

There's nothing better than sleeping naked.

Tell him you prefer sleeping clothes free as much as you can, for the reasons you just outlined. And see how he takes it. Most guys are cool about it. Ditto giving you some space to jack off.

dude get it out on the table right away let him know that you sleep in the buff and if he has any problems with that? If your gong to be good roomates for the next 10 months you have to have the communication open stright away

I like to sleep nude too, I would start off wearing loose fitting boxers or shorts a few sizes too big.   After you get to know your roommate maybe you can free things up.. where u going to college, i'll be ur roommate and u can sleep neked! Wink!

Just tell him that you are going to sleep fully naked whether he likes it or not.  Chances are maybe he does too, you won't know until you clear it up with him.  It isn't like he is looking because he is supposed to be sleeping.

Just keep a robe handy near your bed, when you get out of the bed, put on the robe.

You probably wont have your bed in the same room as him so it will still be fine but if you do consider sleeping in silk boxers they are the closest thing to nothing that you can do.

Truly no big deal, just be up front with your roommate from day one.  College is a totally different experience than you've ever had before.  Most guys back in my dorm days walked to the shower/bathroom naked except for a towel thrown over their shoulder.  Nudity is not a big deal in a male dorm.

Explain it to your roommate & unless he's a real nerd, I'm reasonably sure he will understand.  If not, tough!

Just do it but be discreet. Climb into bed and then remove underwear. Do not give him any hint least he thinks you are g*y. After awhile it'll be "old hat". And maybe he sleeps naked!

It's good to get air to the a**s, p***s and srotum too.

On the first night in the room explain to him while wearing a pair of briefs or shorts that you  sleep naked and you hope that will not offend him.  Then keep the shorts next to the bed or a towel next to the bed as you slip into bed slip out of the shorts and when you get up in the morning put them back on.  It important that you respect your roomates preferences and he may not want to see you naked.  If in the conversation he says no problem I do to then go for it.
