  1. I would highly recommend that you have it serviced. Hopefully it will only need a cleaning, but now is the time to get the skinny on it's condition. Call a pro and have him check it out from top to bottom and have him check out the air handler or furnace while he is there. By doing this you will be ready for winter..


  2. Assuming this is for window ac. As with all AC u should at least clean the coils and filter.As for seating for 2 years don't think is a problem.If it worked 2 years ago it should work now unless was damaged being moved around. No service man would come to see it for under $150  unless he started a week ago.

  3. Turn it on and see how well it works first.  It's not a safety issue, just a matter of money.
