Moving into a new home - what would cause a kitchen drawer to smell like band aids (all the drawers do)?

Maybe if they had the stick in type liners for the drawers. A lot of them have latex type ingredient, which can cause that smell, along with the glue or adhesive.

It is a plastic smell -- just like the new car smell it will eventually go away
