Moving into first apartment?

I'm planning out on my own into my own apartment pretty soon. What are the steps to take now that I'm going out on my own? Should I wait until I move to start shopping for furniture and all that stuff? Right now all I have is a bedroom set and a couple stuff that I have in my bedroom at home.

Move, then buy. You want to make sure your new stuff fits and more importantly you want to live on your own for a month or two to make sure you have the disposable income to afford new stuff.

things to look into are making sure your utilities payments are set up to you so you wont have a sudden power outage without knowing why... I would say move in first then think about other things to buy. Watch out for the amount of spaces and bottlenecks in the apartment complex as some people end up buying a couch or tv that does not fit through the hallway/door...

Yeah, move in first to make sure you have the adequate space for your furniture. No since in having something you cant use.
