Moving out of home - No Job!?

Hi, I want to move out of my parents home to have my own privacy and to live with my girlfriend, I currently live in Bendigo and she lives in Adelaide and I find it hard to live without her.

I am 20yrs old with no job, I was wondering would it be possible to get rent assistance from Centerlink while looking for work?, I've already applied for a few jobs down there but I dont really see me getting them without first living down there.

I don't want to stay home anymore I deeply want to live with my girl, each day is a torcher to me without her beside me.

Thanks.

  1. Get a job first. Use your desire to be with her as incentive to find a job.

  2. 20 years old and no job? Living with Mom and Pop? You have more problems than wanting to live with your girlfriend. If there are no jobs in your area, pack your suitcase and find one. Your folks might help you with that before they will help you move in with a girlfriend and maybe bring home a grandchild for them to support also.

  3. Its sounds like you really love her, but what good are you going to be if you move in but dont have a job? She may loose respect for you if you are not working or even helping out. You need to get a job first and then live like a grown up, if its real love it can wait.
