Moving pets nz to oz?

am planning the big move to australia and have 4 cats and a dog. Will be moving from Dunedin Otago to Cairns Queensland. Has anybody got any idea of the cost to fly a cat or dog over, and how you go about it. Thanks

My brother recently bought their cat over I think he told me it cost $600 and it went in a special cage in cargo on the same flight he came on. Dearer than his fare. that was to Sydney Cairns would be dearer . Phone your airline and they will tell you
