Moving to America?? For UK

Question

So i'm studying for a degree it's only in film studies but a degree is a degree lol i was just wondering i know it's difficult to migrate over to the US but does having a degree up my chances of getting any emplyment over there???

P.S. Would like it to be involved in tv production if anybody knows any info on this would be appreciated also but all answers welcome!

You need a sponsor and a green card. You apply for that through the American Embassy. Cant you not get a job in England that would enable you to transfer to the states?

I moved to the US from England 14 years ago.  It's now incredibly hard to get in.  Even in a company in the USA were to sponsor you, they already closed applications for 2009 - you would be looking at 2010!

My girlfriend was at the US Embassy in London last week to apply for a tourist visa so she could spend time with me over the next year.  She got denied for no good reason.

However - be aware that if you are denied a visa into the USA, it's then extremely likely if you come in as a tourist that you will be turned around and sent straight back.  OUCH - they don't tell you that...

Plus, at the end of the year all tourists wanting to travel to the USA will be required to register electronically first.  BUT - you can't register if you have ever been denied a visa.

So, watch out if you are going to apply for a visa, because if you get turned down, you might never be allowed in again.

The whole world has gone crazy hasn't it...

what  bails  fails  to  mention   that  on  your  application  form  is  that  either  your  married   to  an  american  or  have  family  members  but  then  that's  last  on  a  list  of  6  definitely  hard  work  getting  their  i  tried  in   the  80s  and  i'm  still  in  u.k     b-o-l
