when it comes to schools? My just 4 year old loves her nursery school here in England....we will be returning to the UK after 3 years and I wondered wether I should send her to an Australian school or should I homeschool her in order to keep her on an English curriculum? In Australia there are many homeschoolers who have social groups so the kids can socialise together..I coluld ask her school to provide help for me in the way of keeping her on track for when she returns....or I could just send her to an Aussie school.....what's the best? If I did teach her myself I would send her to dance and drama classes too ,...so she can socialise even more...what to do?

  1. To be fair, young children all need to learn the basics anyway, so reading, writing, numbers, the alphabet, multiplications etc are going to be covered by an australian school just like their covered at an english school, it just might not be the same teaching methods.

It won't matter overly that she misses her y2 SAT exams, I know loads of people who didn't take them because their teachers didn't think they would do very well.

It's all a question of opinion about whether homeschooling or school is better for your child. But it won't really make much difference to her education, she'll learn the basics wherever she goes.
