  1. unless you marry a bajan or are of bajan decent, you will not get citizenship, you may get permanent residency if you set up a business or buy land and prove to the government that you are an asset to the country and will bring in money, other than that, you will get 9 months stay, but i do know people who after 6 months go for an extension and get refused and have to leave, getting a job is difficult as an employer would have to apply for a work permit for you at great expense and unless you can do a job that no other bajan can or will then you wont get it. Most people come for a few months (because that all immigration will give them)  then leave and come back a few months later. Also, the cost of living is very high so come with money. But other than that I love living here and am very happy, its a great place to be.

  2. Although, it'd be nice to fly out and settle down but it just doesn't happen overnight.

But I can suggest you to be making sure that you get a work permit: http://www.bidc.com/section2.cfm?SubSect...

Another is the Barbados Immigration Department at:

    1-800-268-9122 or write to:

    The Chief Immigration Officer

    Immigration Department

    Careenage House, The Wharf

    Bridgetown, St. Michael,

    Barbados

    Telephone: (246) 426-1011

    E-mail: Imm-dept@caribsurf.com

You should check this one out, it's about how to immigrate to the island: http://www.foreign.gov.bb/pageselect.cfm...

    Hope this helps.

  3. I hope you're rich, because Barbados is very expensive to live in!
