Moving to Canada with special needs children?

My husband is thinking of applying for a program to gain specialized training in his field. It would require moving to Canada for a year. We have four elementary aged children and three of them have special needs. How does health insurance and medical appts work for US citizens in Canada? How is the education system compared to US esp. in the special education?

I'm not really sure how health care would work for you, but I know that our system is fabulous! Canada scores high than the US in things like mahematics and literacy all of te time. We have IEP's here to (although depending on which province, they may be callled IPP) and resourse specialts, special ed teachers, schollls for the disabled  just like in the states.Good luck!
