Moving to England from the United States?

Hi. I'm a 19 year old from the united states and I really want to move to england. How do I go about doing it? I have my heart set on it. Can anyone help me out, It be greatly appreciated.

  1. Migrating from the US to the UK is very difficult without a job offer (in the UK) to help with immigration. There is a points system (see below)


  2. well, take a holiday here for about a month or two weeks,,see how you like it,,where in england(which city) you'll need an english passport and thats about it ,,(: good luck,,i live in england and would love to move to Belize (central/latin america) my mom told me i'd just need a belizian passport to live there legally.

  3. Slipstreamer is correct, you cannot just up sticks and move to the UK without a work offer nowadays unless you are from the EU, or work for an American company that is transferring you here.  It works both ways, we can't just turn up in the States and expect to get a job either.

    BTW...you do not need a British passport (there is no such thing as an English passport) and you certainly will not be eligible for one unless you become a British Citizen.
