  1. Ok, 1st things 1st, it's the right choice!!

Im from Galway and it is defintely the right city for ye, it's a decent size, clean, good shopping, good food and great nightlife.

The ideal place for ye to live would be a small town called Oranmore, its 5 mins drive from the city and Oranmore has great amenities for a small town!!

Unfortunately at the mo jobs are few and far between in Galway, the weather is brutal, its not the most costly city in Ireland(good value shopping in Tesco or Aldi), it is def pretty.

You seem like your going to hold off on this for a few years and thats def a good idea cause we're in a recession at the mo but jobs should become plentiful again in a few years.

Any more info you need just go to www.galway1.ie & www.galway.net

  2. Jobs are very difficult to get here now, there is a major downturn in the economy just like all the other western countries so I wouldn't come here at present.  Galway is probably the second most expensive city to live in in the country, with Dublin being the most expensive.  Maybe in a few years time when you become a nurse or a doctor you might think about coming here again and there are no jobs in construction anymore.  It has rained for most of June, July and August looks like it won't be any different.  This Hollywood created ideal of Ireland has to be smashed once  and for all, it is nothing like the movies.
