Moving to Hilo from Chicago IL

Moving from Chicago to Hilo Hawaii for school. Never have been there before. What kinds of clothes should I take with me? I'm not sure how cool or warm it is out there in the fall. Suggestions? Also, my apt is unfurnished. What do you think I should spend my money on until i get my job started and get a paycheck or two?

OK.  Don't invest in any clothing that may be formal wear.  Invest in shorts and t shirts.  I live in Maui... trust me.  Wait till you get to hawaii to buy cloths.  The style is completly different.  They don't even sell the "cool" stuff in IL.  As far as bachelor life goes.... invest in a TV, couch, bed, coffee table and dish wear.  I wouldn't say invest! Go to K-mart and get it.  You're young.... it's all gonna get messed up anyway. Don't get wrapped around this "back to school" frenzy where you have to buy it all before you start.  You waste your money that way.  Go there and figure out your lifestyle. Don't buy into what "they" say.
