Moving to Ireland from Colarado. How will I ship all my stuff ?

I have lived in Colarado for seven years and need to return home to Ireland . I have a lot of stuff and really want to bring it home .

  1. This can be a bit tricky.

    If you have furniture, bicycles etc. you are probably best using a international freight company.

    If you won't be in a hurry for the stuff you could find a company who will put your stuff in a shipping container (usually shrink wrapped on pallets and charged by the pallet) and wait until the container is full before it starts its journey.

    It may take weeks to months to get there depending on price etc.

    Most companies will do a free estimate, if you get them to pack it you should be able to insure against breakage.

    For customs purposes you need to check the paper work at BOTH ends.  There will be an export list and and import list.

    Make sure you have a complete list down to each knife and fork.

    Please take pictures of anything distinctive of valuable.

    There may be a trade organization in Colorado that would help you.
